Finished the sleeve today and edited the knee a bit.

Today I worked on the knee a bit because I wasn’t happy with it and I did the long sleeve of her shirt. Tomorrow I plan to start the glove and I will finish it on Thursday and then the whole thing will be done. After that I will try to put a bit more effort into my Inktober drawings.

Star. Digital. 4×6”. October 8,2024.

Inktober day 8 is just a quick drawing I did this morning. I haven’t felt very inspired to put much effort into it. Perhaps when I finish this painting I’ll take more time drawing.

My dental surgery was yesterday. Though I had IV sedation, it must not have been very strong, because I remember the surgery and everything that happened after it (going home and whatnot). Last time I was sedated I lost my memory of half the day and I was a lot more loopy. I didn’t feel very out of it yesterday. The pain was tolerable, ibprophun was sufficient in controlling it. Today the left side of my face has been swollen, but the right side seems to be fine. Good news from all this is that the growth on the left side of my jaw turned out to be a partial wisdom tooth that hadn’t entirely been extracted. So no biopsy. Hurrah!

Today I had a mammogram. Those are never very comfortable and I get the results back tomorrow. I wish they had the results back today because I always get a little nervous after mammograms given my family’s strong history of breast cancer at a young age.

Things I saw on my walk today:

a fairy village
gigantic mushrooms

A vintage dress I got at a little boutique in 2005. It’s from the 1970’s and is incredibly well made because it’s still in great shape. They don’t make clothes like that anymore. Oxford shoes, wool tights, and my favorite black cardigan. My hair is hiding my swollen face.
