The Art & Poetry of Mary Coleman

So I finished this painting. I titled it “Mourner” and it is acrylic on canvas. For the rest of May I am going to take a break from visual art and try to focus on poetry writing.

I guess I don’t really think about brands very much. I like Hoka shoes for running because they last a long time before giving out and they are cushy. I don’t really buy big brand clothing so I don’t really have any favorites. I generally buy second hand clothes except for running clothes. With those I buy new, but I just buy what is affordable and what is on sale.

Last Sunday I ran the Cinco de Mayo half marathon here in Portland. It followed the Spring Water Trail, starting in Sellwood, so it was pretty flat the entire way. I managed to finish it in 2 hours and 11 minutes which was right on goal for me. I wanted to finish in about a 10 minute mile and I was just under that.
