Not a huge fan of this drawing. It’s too cutesy for the poem it was intended for and in general I don’t think it’s a strong drawing. But it’s okay for an Inktober entry. A drawing a day doesn’t mean it’s going to be a fantastic drawing every day and that’s okay. I’m not perfect and I don’t have to be, something ridiculously obvious I’ve taken many years to learn.

What food would you say is your specialty?

I can make a few dishes that my husband really likes, I’m not sure how much other people would like them though. My husband really likes my mac and cheese, my chicken quesadillas, and my potato pancakes. All pretty simple stuff, but it’s big effort for me so I don’t do it very often. Most my dinners have to be 10 minutes of prep and 10 minutes of cooking or I get lazy and order takeout.

Takeout is my specialty. At least you have some backup skills when takeout isn’t an option.

Absolutely love the drawing. Art is often appreciated more by the viewer than the artist.

Oh, and I didn’t think I’d classify Mac and Cheese as a speciality if you’re cooking it for your husband, or any man for that matter. We’d literally eat it off the floor and enjoy it.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment. The mac and cheese recipe is kind of special because it was handed down to me from my mother who is now deceased. I add bacon to it though, she never put meat in hers.

Recipes handed down in the family always put the “special” in specialties
