So I am really happy with my day 20 drawing. Cloth can be tricky to draw and I think I nailed this.

What are you most proud of in your life?

I will say what I am most recently proud of myself for doing. I am proud of myself for writing over 100 poems since last February. Not every one is going in my book, but that’s a hefty body of work to have produced in such a short time. I am also proud of myself for overcoming perfectionism surrounding art (no small feat) and having over 20 illustrations produced for my book in under a month.

So I am starting week 3 of my habit change journey. Last week wasn’t as successful as week 1, but I still did pretty well. I’m going to try harder this week to get through the weekend without faltering as much as I did this weekend. I really fall away from the routine I’m trying to establish on the weekend. This weekend it was a little more understandable because I ran a half marathon and was gone all day Sunday, but I didn’t have as much of an excuse for Saturday.

Speaking of the Columbia Gorge half marathon, here are some photos from it. It was gorgeous. We ran along the old highway which has been converted to a walkway. I finished in 2 hours and 20 minutes and achieved my New Year’s Resolution of running two half marathons (I ran the first in spring).
