The Art & Poetry of Mary Coleman

Did this for Inktober day 6. I was really happy with how it turned out. It’s a reworking of another illustration I did and I like this much better. It fits the poem better.

Below is the drawing I did before. I don’t dislike, it but I think the one above is a stronger image for the poem it’s intended to illustrate.

Drawing and poetry writing are the two pastimes I have that I love doing. I can’t pick either as a favorite because they both serve different purposes. Poetry is really therapeutic and drawing is really relaxing and fun.
