I didn’t do anything creative today but I was pretty good about it this week and did 5 poems, 5 drawings, and I worked on my Bosch painting twice. So goal achieved for last week as far as creativity goes (I had set it at 4 days). Next week I am going to again make it a goal of 4 days to do drawings and poems. If I get more than 4 days then great! But I’m not going to pressure myself. 4 days is still a lot.

What is your favorite type of weather?

Fall is my favorite time of year because it has the best holidays and the temperature is perfect. It’s a good mix of rain and sunshine (I like to have a bit of both). Plus the leaves look beautiful. Spring is a close second, because again the temperature is temperate and there is rain and sunshine both. Summer is my least favorite time of year and winter is a little depressing because all the holidays have passed and there isn’t much to be happy about. I do like a good rainy day inside though, feeling cozy and warm. The sound of rain is calming. Snow is nice for a short time as well. So winter is definitely better than summer (where I just hide inside all the time from the sun and heat).

I’m trying to take extra good care of my hair so that it grows really long (it’s currently right above my chest). My hairdresser is cutting the split ends every 3 months, I bought a boar’s bristle brush to condition it with natural oils, I do 100 strokes a day, and I have a detangler comb for after I take a shower. I only wash it once a week as well and use a shower cap the rest of the week (I do shower every day). Hopefully I can grow it to my butt, something I have never had the patience to do before. I’d like to be able to put a crown of braids all around my head.

Weekly Intentions Overview

  1. Follow my morning routine (write a poem, draw a picture or work on my Bosch study, exercise) – Partially achieved! I exercised 3 of the days (I was supposed to do 6 days) and wrote poetry and drew 5 of the days (creativity goal was fully achieved)
  2. Follow my mid-day routine (walk the dog, have lunch) – Partially achieved! I only walked the dog four times this week. Granted it was raining all week and she hates the rain. Also she doesn’t like going on walks, but she still needs the exercise regardless. Will try to do better next week. 
  3. Follow my evening routine (go on Instagram, play video game, meditate, and read 2 chapters of my book/some poems) – Partially Achieved! I read my book and meditated 6 of the days. I did not do Instagram except on Saturday and Sunday and I did not play my video game at all. 
  4. Keep to a budget and only eat out once and don’t spend on Amazon – Achieved! I only paid to eat out once this week. We are eating out a second time, except on this occasion we are being treated by my uncle so we don’t have to pay anything. So technically I went by the budget this week and I did not order anything off Amazon.
  5. Get in 65+ grams of protein and 25+g of fiber on the weekdays – Achieved
  6. Avoid sugar and ultra-processed food – Partially achieved! I did have Taco Bell on Wednesday and nachos on Sunday night.
  7. Do strength training twice, run 3 miles three times, and 7 miles one time. – Partially achieved! I didn’t do any strength training but I did do a 7 mile run, a 2 mile run, and a 3 mile run during the week.
  8. Apply for work on Monday and Tuesday – Achieved! I applied for 3 jobs.

Next Week’s Intentions

  1. Follow my morning routine – write a poem (at least 4 of the days), draw a picture or work on my Bosch study (at least 4 of the days), exercise (6 days)
  2. Follow my mid-day routine – walk the dog (at least 5 of the days)
