Today I worked on the legs of the left suited figure and finished them. I have three more days to finish this person which should be adequate. Next week I will tackle the boy being held up between the two men. Then I should be done with the painting in time to submit to the March show at Splendorporium (the deadline is the 25th of February).
I think I am finally ready to start drawing again. Also I think I would like to try my hand at a more abstract approach. It’s something I haven’t done much of and I think it would be a challenge. Something to make my brain work in ways it’s not used to. I have some crayons I’d like to use that are water soluble and maybe some charcoal. That’s the combination I’ll start out with.

Write about your dream home.
I am in my dream home, the only thing I might change is putting it on a less busy street, but the traffic doesn’t really bother me all that much. My home has a big porch and a covered area in the back yard with a fireplace. It’s a 110 year old craftsman and is full of nooks and crannies and built ins. The woodwork is lovely inside and the kitchen is pretty big. My studio is a haven for me and I adore it. The house stays cool in the summer and is also cool in the winter, but the heat does an okay job once it gets going.
