Today I finished the outline on my canvas and I’m so glad to be done with that step. Drawing from a grid is boring, time consuming, and awful. I must do it in order to transfer the sketch onto the painting surface. If I try and paint without a drawing to guide me, it turns out wonky.

It is sort of hitting me how little time I will have if I get a job and I am used to having a lot of time on my hands. One of the jobs I applied for got back to me about working conditions and one of those was overtime. There is a lot of overtime in this particular position. That means working past 5 most days. It starts at 8am too so I wouldn’t be able to jog later in the morning, I would have to get up super early to do it. Last year I bought a reflective vest to be able to jog in the dark so I suppose that would have to be the plan. I would be getting less sleep at night too.

Today’s Schedule:

  1. Up, water plants, feed dog and brush her teeth, strength training,
  2. 7am breakfast (morning eating window)
  3. 8am Take oral sedation and go to dental appointment
  4. 11am Take Ritalin and finish the rest of the outline (listen to Mansfield Park). This is the last day this week I’ll take Ritalin.
  5. Meditate and take dog on a walk
  6. 4pm eating window begins
  7. 4:45pm Prepare dinner
  8. 6pm eating window closes
  9. Read the rest of Jane Eyre in bed

What would you do if you won the lottery?

A second cousin of mine won 50 million in the lottery so I am kind of cursed to never win. What’s the chance two people in one family win big? It discourages me from buying tickets and playing because it seems futile. Gambling doesn’t really appeal to me anyway. We are going to Vegas for our 20th wedding anniversary, but I will go there for the shows and sights, I don’t plan on playing any games. Maybe one time on a slot machine to say I’ve done it, but a quarter is all I’m giving a casino.
