I did the body of the man in the bird’s mouth, the hand around the legs, and the pot today. The background is looking pretty flat to me so I have to figure out how to get some texture into it. Maybe it won’t be as noticeable when the main figure and throne are done. Overall I’m pretty happy with it and I’m enjoying the process. Without Ritalin I am not able to sit for a long period of time to get a lot done at once, but little steps are better than none. I just can’t take Ritalin very often.

The past three days my anxiety has been lower which is good. I had a minor panic attack on Tuesday evening, but it went away pretty easily. Last week I had three panic attacks of minor severity. It’s frustrating because I went 6 days without any and was feeling way less anxious overall. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. My biggest stressor is gone, but lots of little ones replaced it quite quickly.

Writing prompt:

Do you ever see wild animals?

As I live in the city, the most I see of wild animals is squirrels, occasionally raccoons, and many, many crows. There are other birds too, but I don’t know the names. Sometimes when I’m visiting my uncle, I see deer because he lives in a wooded suburb.

My favorite city animal is the crow because they are so clever and I love the way they look. All black and sleek. The only bird I’ve ever wanted to own was a crow, but as they are wild and you don’t buy them in stores, I have never had the chance. Also I have issues with owning birds as it seems depressing to put them indoors. Maybe if you have a giant outdoor aviary it’s okay, but keeping a bird inside seems wrong to me. Raising pigeons seems alright because you can release them each day and then they come home in the evening so there is freedom for the bird to fly and do its thing.

It has always appealed to me to befriend a wild crow in lieu of owning one. I know you can do that if you give them food and the same ones start coming each time. They grow to trust you. I’ve never done that though.
