I worked on the hand, face, and arm of the little girl today. The day was fairly busy so I didn’t have time to do anymore than this. Monday I will tackle the sweatshirt and tee shirt poking out underneath. This was my first time painting African skin, and I’m not unhappy with it.

I made it 4 more chapters of The Land of Lost Things and I played 40 minutes of Katamari Reroll today. Though I can’t say I felt relaxed while doing it, I do feel good I did something with my free time instead of just laying in bed feeling anxious. Part of the reason I find it so hard to relax is that I am perpetually nervous by nature. Perhaps I could speak to the psychiatrist about it but I’m already on a lot of drugs and am not keen to add any more to the mix. Maybe it’s something that I can work on in therapy.

Today we left for Hood River to stay the night before The Columbia Gorge Marathon where I will do the half. Here is the view from our motel:

Today’s outfit: a green cardigan given to me by my mother-in-law, a scarf made by my aunt, a dress I got at Fred Meyer (local department and grocery store), Oxford shoes, cotton stockings, and leaf earrings for fall.
