So for this Inktober drawing it took about 3 attempts to find the right image for this poem. The first attempt was a copy of Goya’s The Dog, which didn’t turn out at all. The second attempt was a loose homage to The Dog, which turned out okay as an Inktober entry, but I didn’t really like it enough to put it in my book. This attempt worked out the best and I like it very much. I included the poem because it’s my favorite I’ve ever written.

Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive?

Unproductive. I have incredible guilt about not doing anything. I need to be actively engaged in something to feel good. If I lay around and do nothing, the guilt just eats me up.

Awesome drawing as always! and I agree with your lazy day thoughts. The guilt can be so debilitating and sometimes I end up burning myself out the next day to make up for it. It can be such a vicious cycle.
