This Inktober drawing was one of two I did for a specific poem. It was my favorite out of both and the one I chose for my book.
I got a scanner so I’m able to properly scan my artwork now and get high quality images, not just snap photos and crop them with my phone. Since the scanner is truer to the color, and the lighting is consistent, the shades of paint I use (which are the same) match up on the different pictures. When I used my phone, the difference in lighting, even when I used bright sunlight, caused the shades of paint to look different from one another even though it was the same paint. I can also get higher dpi with the scanner than I can with my phone.

What have you been putting off doing? Why?
I have been putting off returning the defective scanner that I bought off Amazon. I got a replacement and I just need to take the broken one down to Whole Foods which is 6 blocks away from me. It’s a minor task I just keep putting off because the latest I can return it is November 8 so I keep saying to myself I have plenty of time and then not doing the thing that would take me all of 10 minutes to complete.
