I wrote this poem based off a 16th century Christmas carol by the same name.

List your top 5 favorite fruits.

  1. Cherries
  2. A good ripe peach (it’s hard to find)
  3. Blueberries
  4. Strawberries
  5. Raspberries (I like ALL the berries)

So I can run again. According to my doctor, running does not cause osteoarthritis (in my case it’s genetic) and actually helps it so I started up again today. Felt really good to get out there in the fresh air and do aerobic exercise. I like walking okay, but running really gives me a mood boost that walking does not quite do. Afterwards I did take the dog on a walk and I took these photos of some flowers I saw:

Midweek Intentions

So far this week I have done really well with my intentions. I’ve done something creative every day, I’ve eaten healthy, I’ve exercised, I’ve followed my routines for the most part, and I’ve been doing breathing for 5 minutes before things that make me anxious.

What I’d like to keep doing:

  1. I’d like to do something creative every day be it writing or painting
  2. I’d like to do deep breathing at least once a day and ideally before tasks that make me anxious
  3. I’d like to eat lots of anti-inflammatory foods and keep inflammatory foods to a minimum (that means very little sugar, fried foods, or ultra-processed foods)
  4. I’d like to follow my calorie goals and stay within 1800 calories a day
  5. I’d like to walk the dog every day
  6. I’d like to run 3 times
  7. I’d like to do strength training twice
  8. I’d like to cook dinner the rest of the week (this weekend we will be eating out with friends and family both days so I’ll try to order healthy)
  9. I’d like to meditate daily
  10. I’d like to practice mindfulness during my daily walk with the dog
  11. I’d like to go on Instagram once a day every day
