I wrote a good poem today, probably the best I have ever written. My drawing was pretty average though. Tomorrow I’ll try to do a piece inspired by this. I will keep trying until I create something worth looking at because I really want to do this particular poem justice visually.
I’m trying to establish a morning and an evening routine in preparation for when I start working; a set of things I do every day. Routine really helps me function and gives a rythm to my life that helps with ADHD. Every day I get up at 5am, eat breakfast, get my chores done, and then proceed to get a drawing and a poem done before I exercise for 30 minutes (on weekends I do a long run so it’s more than that on Saturdays). I’m trying to have everything done by 8:30am (including showering). If I start work at 8, I will start getting up at 4am and have everything completed by 7:30am.
In the evening, after dinner, I play my video game for 15-30 minutes, read two chapters of my book, go on Instagram, and meditate for 20 minutes. Last night was my first night of doing this and I actually enjoyed myself.
If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?
I wouldn’t ban any word. Every word has its purpose, “good” or “bad”. Sometimes it’s inappropriate to use certain words casually, such as racial slurs, but that doesn’t mean the word doesn’t have a place in our language. If we erase words, we erase history, and that’s never a good thing.
