Today I worked on the arm and shoulder. I am aiming to have this figure done entirely by the end of tomorrow (I’m having a buddy over to do art with me so I should be fairly productive). If it takes me about a week to do each figure, then I should be done by the time of the submission deadline for the next group show at Splendorporium.

I ran 4 miles with my friend today. Tomorrow I will do strength training and Sunday I will do another 2 miles. Then I will have exercised every day of the week. That’s my goal.

I have been reading Dust by Hugh Howey and am now about 12 chapters into the book. It’s pretty good so far. I didn’t like the second book (Shift) as much as I liked the first in the series (Wool), but I have yet to decide my opinion on this third one. I have to finish it first.

Do you need a break? From what?

I need a break from panic attacks and anxiety. Granted, yesterday was a pretty good day, and I think getting aerobic exercise in the morning every morning is helping a lot. I’ve had more good days this week than bad days. Monday and Tuesday were okay, Wednesday was terrible, but things were good yesterday coming off of a bad day. I’m throwing everything I can at the problem, exercise, improved diet, meditation, self compassion… all the tools I know. Here’s to a good rest of the week!

To-do-list

  1. Brush dog’s teeth, water plants, Instagram, get jogging clothes on
  2. Clean up the house because we have guests tomorrow afternoon and evening and in general it just needs a good tidy
  3. Run 4 miles with my friend
  4. Paint the rest of the torso and do the arm
  5. Read 6 chapters of Dust (because I probably won’t have time to read it tomorrow so I need to make up 2 chapters if I want to reach my 14 chapter goal by Sunday)
  6. Mail letters/take the dog with me for her walk
  7. Meditate
  8. Cook dinner at home
  9. Pick up nibbles for game night and bananas
  10. No sugar, no ultra-processed foods, 25+g of fiber, 65+g of protein, intermittent fast, and stick to calorie goal
